You Should Be Someone Else (Moulinex Remix) - When Saints Go Machine
one of my long time favorite track from Simian Mobile Disco. super addictive. great beat! awsome video...the old one, sexy. looks like a fun party
"what the fuck is it you gonna do about it......nothing"
Hustler - Simian Mobile Disco
i seems to be in a relaxation mode, all the music i want to upload are rather...peaceful
came back to london from toronto, im tired, dont wanna write too much.
The Hours - Philip Glass
who likes planes, flights and mile high...highs? who wants to feel nostalgic and bright UV sunlight soaking your face? hum...nobody wants UV soaking their face that's for sure.
doesnt matter who wants what. but if you want to FEEL like you are on an airplane, Yoshinori Sunahara is the right man to give you that pleasure. with a track title like '747', named after the famous 747 series airplanes from Boeing, and album title 'Pan Am the sound of 70's', you will definitely feel nostalgic and high!
less words, more music. my favorite track from Mr. Sunahara.
747 Dub - Yoshinori Sunahara
when i need some down time to relax, i turn my ears to Royksopp
their music is always, simply, beautiful
In Space - Royksopp
today i bring you another sexy tune from a sexy French actress who made her singing career when she was with the notorious Serge Gainsbourg, like so many of 60s starlets. those who know Serge probably know his wife, Jane Birkin, and their most famous song together: 'je t'aime...moi non plus'. when this song was released, it gained popularity straight away, everyone was happy except for little Brigitte. how the story went was this, 'je t'aime...' was one of the last tracks Brigitte recorded with Serge, at the time in the 60s, Brigitte thought this track was too sexual for releasing, so the track sat on the shelves and their relationship came to an end. a year later, Serge recorded it again with his new found wife and ya di ya di ya da.
now...40 years later, the original 'je t'aime...' was finally publicly released on Brigitte's 'best of' cd.
however, today i wont post 'je t'aime...moi non plus' because i'm not a big fan of the song. the song i am posting is one of those rare tracks that is hard to find, but i manage to stumble upon it without knowing it, so i was pretty lucky, hehe. the story with this song is that, Anna Karina (below/post) also recorded a song with the same title, but i can't find the song. so if anyone have or know where to get the Anna Karina version, please contact me or leave me a comment. appreciated.
Un Jour Comme Autre - Brigitte Bardot

uffie is bangin'
if you still havent heard of uffie and call yourself a electro lover, you ought to straighten up your ears.
so, uffie seems to be one of those artist that you either love her or hate her. i think she's mighty cute
dont be fooled by her cute girlish look, her lyrics are poppin' and "rated x" XD
Pop The Glock - Uffie
the image above have nothing to do with the music, but i think it's a nice picture. no...wait, the actress from the picture is German and today's music is from Germany too! so there is a connection.
so, im still excited about my old-found pod-o-matic and can't keep myself from posting yet ANOTHER episode within 42 hours, hehe.
today, i bring you a very (funny) 60s swing track from the "In-Krauts" cd which complied of original 60s swinging music from Germany.
i thought the lyrics of the song is very cute, i can imagine a cute little animation for this song.
From here on it got rough - Hildegard Knef
so, as before, gonna post once a week with a track i like.
a eccentric mix!
totally excellent
radddd
little ramble about today's track. Anna Karina, first of all is a gorgeous Danish actress who made it big in France under the wings of Jean Luc Godard whom later became her husband! she sang too, not alot, but enough to make an album. this song was in the movie 'Pierrot Le Fou' which i have yet to watch, im sure it would be great.
Ma Ligne De Chance - Anna Karina
so, fresh start. found my pod-o-matic by chance through google and see that i havent posted in a longgg time and my taste in music changed...alot! no more j-rock im afraid. now im into electro, alot french djs...
i would like to talk a little about today's track. found this track through the blog 'J'ai la casette a la masion', possibly my favorite music blog as of now.
SymbolOne, i like this track because it has an every old school electro vibe to it and the melody isn't on the extreme side, so great for listening over and over again like i do, hehe. check out his other tracks on his myspace.
